Twin turbo size 62/62 or a 67/73
I have a ls1 with 241 heads, ls6 im, twin turbo cam ,forged internals, 4200 stall 3d billet jakes tc, and I got a twin turbo kit from huron speed for a ws6, and Im wondering for altitude at 6-8k da , which is the best turbo to make 800whp ? Uncorrected
Do you think a 67 will be laggy if Im not using a transbrake?

I never really got good recommendations for my setup (twins for SBE 5.3), so I went with twin VS billet wheel 62's in T4. Just got them yesterday and the car is a ways from running so I cant say much other than they look like pretty nice pieces.

I run tiny twin Batmowheel 52's (see my signature) with tiny SVO 0.55AR hot side housings. They'll make as much as 1100hp maxed out and in a front mount set up would boost instantly with an auto. People go too big, and while that reduces back pressure, it also costs bottom end/mid range, both of which an LS1 can use. Top end is not the problem - sizing just affects how much boost it takes.

6262's is plenty big. I wouldnt go bigger than that for 800whp. Everyone else is saying what I am saying and have already recommended some other great options (go smaller). Could try a pair of GT3582's, some of them are 61/64's and have been reported to spool really fast even on 5.3's. 2 of those would hit your goal.

It's always worth referencing what the Gen5 guys are doing, and the likes of AGP Turbo.
They have loads of twin setups, and even with relatively small units they're making great numbers.
But the numbers posted mean little when you could have crap chinese units compared to good modern proper turbos.

I was in yoru same predicament a few years back when I built mine. Ended up with twin on3 67s and it was perfect. Very responsive, no limits on power. Made 870whp ona bone stock LS1. Stock cam even! Out of fuel on 80lbs injectors. Best trap 153 with a T56. 10 psi 1/2nd 20+ 3/4th/
I had a great in-car video but I cant locate it at the moment.
