Default Wastegate size?’s

Is it better to use two smaller wastegates one each bank or just one larger one on one bank?

If you use one large on you will need it to feed from both banks. Some have done it with it on only one bank but it isnt the right way to do it.

unless you are keeping the banks divided right to the turbine inlet, a single with priority flow best for simplicity sake

personally i prefer to put my gates right on the turbine housing

I just tuned one, with a single 44, that made 12 psi on as 7 pound spring. Gate is not directly in the exhaust flow path due to the design of the hotside. Since mine is divided, and I had a 44mm already, I just added a second one, one to each side, and tried to get them more in line with the exhaust flow. I think it's gonna work well.

well the reason I ask is I feel it will be difficult to give a single one priority and have it vent both banks.

Two wastegates, one on each bank, is the easiest and safest way to go. If the merge and location is not right on the big single it will creep up top (depending on turbo size)

on3 7875. I'm going to put it where the battery is/was haven't got started yet just ordering all my parts as of now.

I had a comp 78/75 with a single 45mm Wastegate (with a not so great merge design) and it worked fine. Switched to a pt88 and it had bad boost creep on a 10psi spring would hit 18-9psi up top. This was on a ls3 motor huronspeed gen5 Camaro single turbo kit, had to add a second Wastegate to get it under control.
