Turbo build, round two!
So I'v decided to join the ranks of front mounted turbo cars. switching up some stuff and am ready start really breaking some stuff lol
If anyone been around long enough knows I'm an avid rearmount guy. Ran rear mount for almost 7 years... and no before anyone chimes in, it didnt blow up and and the bottom of the car didnt gwt dragged out by a random speed bump. Want to run a bigger turbo and want to try a different setup. still got plenty of life in the old ls1. And still got love for rear mounts. it's been a solid setup and fun to drive.
So the only thing thatthats really forced my desicion is that my scavenger pump finally died. took a really cold day to finally kill it. in my garage... oil all over my floor lol was a great time. so here we are. front mout time.
So I've got some stuff to do. I've got a set of 317 heads still laying around and ls9 gaskets that im really wondering if i want to change out. if I do that i have head studs and new vavle covers that can go on to up day the old 98 ls1.
still gonna put the on3 t76 .96ar up front if it checks out still BUT!!! I have a gt45 1.05 on standby, controlled by a 50mm Watergate with 10lbs spring. waiting on some other goodies to come in the mail though to really get a start. have to cut the old longtube headers out, ypipe, and rear turbo piping out back. have some piecing together and fab work to do.
CURRENT SETUP
