Default Welding Wastegate onto exhaust housing

just wondering how has done and how has it held up, im having problems with finding the right location for my wastegate and i find that the best place to put it has been in the turbine housing. just wondering and i have a few questions for anyone who has done it.

As close to the turbine flange/inlet the better, far around the scroll would be a poor location.
