Loving the turbo kit! Looks ace. Just need someone like Huron to turn this into a kit.

Thanks man.

Been driving it a little the last few days. Feels pretty responsive and boost comes on pretty quick. Haven't gotten to lay into it yet. Coolant temp is getting a little hotter than I'd like. I will have to address that soon, especially with summer around the corner.

Mia that whilst driving or in traffic? I wonder if there is a thicker rad that could be fitted? Or maybe tilting the rad forward or back to gain a little more core height? How well shrouded is the cold side of the rad?

It's not shrouded at all, right now. I need to modify the upper plate that came with the kit. I have the radiator sitting straighter than it was intended with the kit. Also, the crash beam blocks a lot of the airflow. I am going to make some side shrouds to force the air to go through the radiator.

I've seen another guy add in an OEM LSA heat exchanger to the rear of the vehicle to aid in cooling. He said it helped drop temps 15-20 degrees.

It hoovers around 190 degrees for a while, but will slowly start to creep up as heat builds up inside the engine bay. My Track Spec vents should be here tomorrow and I install them as soon as possible. That should also help a lot.

Ordered an oil cooler kit. Should help drop some degrees out of the coolant temp.

Is it just in traffic you are having the cooling issues or is it whilst driving? How shrouded is the rad?

This guys has done a rear mounted rad for 100% of the cooling on his 1.5 mile car. Might be an option to run the rear rad once the Coolant has been through the front as you have no exhaust in the way?..

I plan to run an LSA heat exchanger in the rear, tied into the return line off the heater core. This will be last resort, though.

So, my drive home last night proved to be good for some preliminary data. Took a little longer route home to see how my coolant temps would act. It took a while longer for the temps to creep up but they plateaued around 217, where before it would have hit 230+. I’d say the vents show a nice improvement. My oil temp was in the 230 degree range, which I’m sure is contributing to the higher coolant temps as well. I have an oil cooler kit coming. Anxious to see if that helps any.

Some 18psi dyno pulls. Shut it down after this as a huge storm was rolling through and I had to get home.

Lower than max boost? Lol. I plan to run up to 28-30psi. Technically, that's off wastegate, so it's as low as I can get it. Lol

Exactly! I typically start at 15psi or so for gate, no real reason to go any lower.

Thanks! I was pretty surprised with the numbers. Hit max of 904whp at the same boost and 19 degrees of timing. Saw a little bit of detonation so we back it down to 18 degrees after 6k rpm. Spun it to 7500 on the dyno and rev limit is set to 8000.

Crazy *** storm we had last night. I was really close to driving my car yesterday but was glad I hadn't when it hit.

Those are some really badass numbers tho! What did it put down with the nitrous set up?

Nice job Jay. I like the intake. Would it fit without the cut cowl? This thing is gonna scream.
