Polished Procharger for LS1
Well I have saved up my money for awhile now and finally have enough to get a Procharger. Since some of you already have them and know where to get them I was wondering if someone can PM or post here the cheapest I could possibly get it for? Plz PM the website and how much if you would. Thx alot in advance, saving money is a +

I'd look in the for sale section. you can get them pretty cheap. Even if you get a non polished one you could have it polished and still cost less then a new one.

If you think you'll go past the 8psi limit then my suggestion is to speak to Scott at SD Concepts. Get the right pully and FMIC from the get go. YOIu might spend a little more now, but you'll save bigtime later when you don't have to redo everything.
Most people think they'll never need more than that 8 psi, but be forwarned this is an expensive and highly addictive route.
Good luck,
Mike

I'm not sure what your budget is but going FI is not something to get started with if you can't afford all of the incidentals.
Here are a few things not to forget:
-- Boost and Fuel gauges (these can be $300-400)
-- Larger injectors
-- Cooler spark plugs
-- Valve springs
-- Clutch
-- Thermostat
-- Dyno tuning
Figure a good $5-7K (this is conservative) for a new kit. If you don't mind buying used and you can do the install yourself you can really save a fortune.
Good luck,
Mark

Yes, that is why Nasty said forget the head unit. The plenum is what takes the place of your airbox.....and getting that polished will look much nicer then the head unit....unless you're REALLY trying to show this car. If not.....save the money...you'll need it later when you break something

Dont get the Procharger. I have replaced 90% of the kit since I put it on the car. If you ever want to step up the power you will run into serious problems.

My advice would be to have a good shop do a custom job. Brackets, pulleys, intercooler ect.... Then pick a head unit. The cost will be just a little more than a kit but it will be correctly. Just say no! to reverse facing blower kits! Speed Inc in Schaumburg (Chicago) gave me a quote of $7500 installed For a YSi trim, Griffin FMIC, brakets, tubing, puleeys ect......

Speed Inc. will be doing the Griffin on my car, when ever griffin decides to get it done.....
It involved relocating the battery to the rear........and what not.....all aluminum piping.....
If anyone is interested........my ATI standard stuff will be up for sale real soon.....here is what I got....
-stock BOV
-polished plenum
-all rubber piping/clamps
-I got the stock 6 rib stuff that came w/the tuner kit too
-stock twin intercoolers
This leaves the head unit to be purchased then you have a nice cheap kit to work with.....
Anyone interested.....PM me
