Default ASI 3 Row Radiator

Anyone have experience with these ASI 3 row radiators they sell on ebay? This is for an F-body

I have a single mount front turbo and have retained the stock ac condenser. AC is a must on the car, but with it I have heat issues. I can not control the temp and have tried everything. Currently I am running a LT1 radiator as they are thicker then the ls1's, I have two 12" Derale pusher fans, the big ones I think they are 4000cfm. I have the condenser sealed with foam all the way around it so all air has to go threw the radiator.

I have also installed a new water pump and removed the thermostat, and plugged the hole behind the thermostat, so all water will go threw radiator and not simply recirculate. I don't know what else to do then get a bigger radiator. I'm hoping this larger capacity radiator would help control the temps.

As it is now if I simply let the car sit and idle with the fans running and AC cranked, the temps will keep getting hotter and hotter till I shut it down.

I think if i had the fans as pullers I wouldn't see this issue, but there simply isn't room for it. Hell to fit a bigger radiator is gonna be tough as the turbo is about 1/4" away from the turbo compressor housing.

Any and all recommendations are welcomed. I have really been thinking about trying this bigger aluminum radiator out to see if it helps some.

bump, no one has tried the ebay radiators?

I'm sorta at a loss what to do. more testing yesterday and with out the AC going it seems to be okay. once i have the AC cranked the temps slowly keep creeping up.

I was debating on moving one of the derale fans to the back side of the radiator. Not sure how well it would work with one on the condenser pushing and one on the radiator. But with a new radiator, and condenser and two pusher fans it is not enough to keep the engine cool on hot days. Pusher fans seem to be very inefficient.

An ac condensor puts a ton of heat out. Pushers lose a ton of flow after the first core they push through so most likely after it goes through the condensor the heated air is alot slower and just washes over your radiator causing the over heat. Buying a different condensor so it covers only half the radiator or could be mounted so its heated air doesnt get sucked through the radiator would probably fix your issue.
I have a 5th gen camaro but i am going to put a shorter but longer condensor on mine layed flat with dual 12 inch fans pulling down towards the ground. I dont know what room you have on your 4th gen but its an idea.

That is actually a great idea. I have room to move the condenser up behind the front mounted intercooler. then i could simply put a puller fan on it to suck air threw both.

My only question is where do you find custom or different sized condensers? also where do you find fittings to make your own custom lines?

i was on their site and saw some kits. I was also looking at other places and found condensers and hose kits that will work, as i have the ability to crimp the hoses myself. The only issue i see is the block attachments to the car. The factory uses a bolt on style attachment. Not sure how to go from that to these screw on hose connectors. Really haven't found anything that adapts them. I have found several LS swap places that swap from the bolt on block at the compressor to a screw on hose. But nothing for the firewall connection.

Couldnt you just reuse the bolt on end for the firewall side and use crimp sleeves to crimp new ac hose to the existing connections. We make custom hoses at work and reuse ends all the time.

The problem is the high side is a solid hard line from the firewall (evaporator) to the condenser. So it isn't simply a hose i can cut then crimp a new end on. It is a hard aluminum line. From looking around i think I will need to weld an aluminum fitting to the line for this to work.

I've been using this one for 6+ years.

<https://www.ebay.com/itm/THE-BEST-1998-2002-Camaro-Firebird-TA-LS1-Aluminum-Radiator-4L60E-Trans/392318026344?epid=21024928597&hash=item5b57fa0268: g:MywAAOSwZtNbyQjC:sc:UPSGround!44212!US!-1>

All I had to do was a little trimming of the airbox, bent the right angle of the radiator support flat and made some rubber pieces to fit where the old ones did. I also had to bend that hard line ever so slightly but everything buttoned up and looks good. Ended up getting a dual Derale puller fan set up and wired it according to the instructions while tying it in with the factory manual switch in the cabin. I have a 6speed so i just plugged the hook up for the auto trans lines. I only upgraded after cracking 3 of the stock ones in 3 years, never had a problem since.

this isnt on a turbo set up, but you can check out the dimensions, i did angle it a little as well.
