Default What heads?

Building a sbe 5.3 has 862 heads doing a twin turbo build gt35s should I keep the heads or put the stock ls1 heads

Not much difference in 862/706 vs 241. 241 CC chamber is larger so will drop compression. Doesn't sound like you have a hp goal requiring a better head.

There's people throwing 18-19 lbs to a set of ported 317's and don't see why 241's wouldn't work better than the 862's as they have larger intake valves and combustion chambers.

Flow on a turbo 5.3 is almost irrelevant between the stock castings, and lowering compression will only reduce power and torque without much benefit to knock supression.

Boosted cars don't need to change parts until they blow off. All of the stuff that matters on an NA build matter just as much when boosted, but the difference is an NA build has no choice, where a boosted build can just add a little more boost.

Ive pushed my gen 3 5.3 SBE with 241 heads to 24-26lbs. Its just what I had when putting everything together so I ran them.
