.96AR ve 1.25AR?
well firstly we may have our lines crossed a bit. The boost controller isn’t targeting a set boost. I’m not using it like that. Im using it in the duty cycle mode. I don’t set a target boost. Doing it that way is way more involved and I just never felt like messing with it in that way because this was quicker and easier.
I screwed the screw in all the way just for kicks. In second gear it got 20.2psi with the controller set to off and it on gate only. My guess is either now I have too much spring or the screw is keeping that gate closed. That’s a good sign tho, I’ve never had 20psi in second. Usually a max of 17-18, maybe 19 on a cold night and a passenger with me. So at least I know once I set the spring pressure it will make the boost I want.
look up cortex boost controller. That’s what I have and it WILL target a particular boost pressure if you set it up that way. I was lazy and did it the beginner route and it worked good enough I never felt the need to mess with it.
I guess I’m gonna have to set one setting to no duty cycle.
I logged 17.1psi in second gear turned up with cutout open. I added some timing in and out of boost. I think adding some timing right before (basically when I hit it) it goes into boost and it has hardly any lag now. I’m getting it more where I want it to be. At first I was doubting my change with the housing in some ways. The extra lag I didn’t like, but it was liveable. The extra top end power on the same and little less boost was definitely welcome and so is the added response out of boost. I guess I was thinking it was gonna be a straight swap and not have to mess with anything else. I should have known better. The added timing that it’ll tolerate definitely helped. I’m waiting on my tires to come in so I can plan on a drag strip trip.
