Default 4th Gen Roots?

New owner here, Is there any roots blower that fits under the stock hood of a 99 TA, non Ram Air? Edelbrock E-Force?

I am guessing you already googled this question and did not like the answers you got. There is a reason for that. If you could find a K member that lowered the motor about 4 inches, then lifted your car enough for everything else to line up, you could have a roots blown 99TA swamp buggy. Otherwise, no joy.

Basically yes and no. I found some guys doing an LSA swap but it required cutting up the car which I don’t want to do. Turbo it is. Recommendations on a clean, reliable kit? I’m not after a 1000hp track monster. A daily that makes mid 500s is all it needs to be without being ridiculously loud, huge cam, etc

The huron speed V3 a/c kit should get you what you are after. So would a procharger.

For a street car with 500hp I’d just put a (used) Procharger on it. Not have to deal with hot exhaust pipes everywhere.. cramming the turbo in with the radiator and condenser.. not have to deal with oil feed and drain. plus a very linear predictable power band. And the base p1sc head unit will meet your goals (heck a cammed ls3 swap will make 500rwhp so that is always a option... my buddies 408 gto drove like stock and was very quiet with the cut outs closed)

Under the hood, no problem.
Under the cowl...problem.
I researched this to an obscene amount having wanted a roots blower very badly for some time.
After it was all said and done I ended up going turbo and am so glad I did, I set a goal for a 550-575whp street car and built it accordingly using used parts over time.
I was rewarded with a dyno sheet reading 689whp on pump fuel instead of 575whp, excellent street manners and the ability to make more power at the push of a button.
While you may only want 500whp at the moment, as you acclimate to the power and lose to other cars on the street you will inevitably want more and more power is far easier to obtain with a turbo than a blower.
