Under the cowl...problem.
I researched this to an obscene amount having wanted a roots blower very badly for some time.
After it was all said and done I ended up going turbo and am so glad I did, I set a goal for a 550-575whp street car and built it accordingly using used parts over time.
I was rewarded with a dyno sheet reading 689whp on pump fuel instead of 575whp, excellent street manners and the ability to make more power at the push of a button.
While you may only want 500whp at the moment, as you acclimate to the power and lose to other cars on the street you will inevitably want more and more power is far easier to obtain with a turbo than a blower.
