Default TC on a FI car

I have a question for all u with high hp FI cars . Did u all have abs and TC ? If u had it , did u all delete it ? And why ? I have a built 408 with a novi 2200x supercharger that make 845 hp and 785 Tq on 14lbs . My abs module took a **** and was thinking about deleting it or fixing it . What have u all done ? And why ? Should I keep it ? Thanks

Any car I kept for a extended period of time I ended up deleting it. Kind of a big weight savings.

i have dreams of doing the vbox and traction control stuff that z-brown has done with his car. a home-built street car that accelerates faster than most "supercars" is just my kinda jam.

abs kinda depends on where you drive your car. on any real daily driver in a city yeah I want abs. too complicated to add to any of my projects tho.

its like A/C. when I was young i'd rip all that stuff out thinking i was gaining something haha. now i'm old trying to retro-kludge all that **** back in

Zac's is all based on aftermarket components. You won't need the factory TC to do what he is doing. You will also need an aftermarket ECU.

I got rid of the ABS when I started running 28's in the back and 26's up front.

I had to remove my ABS system. It literally would go out of control at high speeds 100 mph +. I couldn't pin the reason for this I thought it had something to do with the tire configuration. I nearly **** myself a few times coming off a hard hit when it would dart right then left etc. etc. I reluctantly removed it thinking it was a step back on quality & safety. Truthfully I don't miss the system at all. Cant tell the difference. If I was road racing or autocross it might be a different story. But for weekend fun driving & cruising .... no issue on hard stops.

I'm still running factory ABS/TC on a ~800ish whp 4th gen.
Because I'm not running sticky's, I spin a lot. TC kicks on to help out, but it typically kicks on very late to the point where the vehicle is uncontrollable anyway. This might just have to do with me no longer being on factory height diameter in the back - haven't bothered adjusting it through HPTuner.
