Turbo s10 Hay guys my first post. I have a 94 S10 with a lq4 and th400 trans running a quickfuel blow thru carb also a universal performance t76 turbo with turbosmart 50mm waste gate 14lb spring, also 50mm tial bov. Motor has cam rods pistons valve springs all from texas speed. I'm new to this and this is my first build the truck starts and runs fine I'm just not sure how to make sure it's tuned like it needs to be, I do have a AFR gauge. Need some help please

If your dead set on sticking with a carb it needs to be from a reputable company like Csu, c&s etc.... the big difference between these companies and quickfuel is that quickfuel does not have boost reference power valves. When I was blow through I just ran it and watched the wideband.... if it got above 12.5 WOT I’d lift lol... timing pull a degree per pound of boost above 4-5 LB to start.... put the lightest wastegate spring in you can till you get it figured out and learn to read plugs good luck!

I have a msd ls series box for spark, also not sure how to upload a photo on here? I picked this truck up for 300 bucks. Just trying to get this thang straight hopefully we could share some thangs.
If you dont have a way to data log whats going on, finding a dyno so they can do it will help. Are you boost ref the fuel reg, pref. off the carb hat. As said, a carb from someone like CSU will make tuning better. Shoot for around 11.5 WOT, but read the plugs, have the timing in the 16-20 range, #7 plugs. My last blowthru liked 22 degs but they are all diff.

So did a little hit with truck today and AFR went to 14ish so I lifted. Going to hook up data logger in msd box just don't no what to look at lol trying to find somewhere where a Dyno is in VA anyone have a custom basic tune I go start with?

Like I said call Kevin from csu, send your carb to him and you’ll be light years a head of where you are. The msd only controls timing so have timing 26-30 degrees while driving and pull a degree per pound of boost... but don’t pull timing till after 4-5 lbs. In all honesty you’ll blow it up if the carb is that far off right now.

Hay guys doing a little update, gonna have to save sum money up for the new carb from csu but I made a adjustment to see what it would do here's what I did changed timing to 18 then 36 across also turned sec fuel pump on and changed jets from 76 to 85 now im idleing about 11 AFR and just about wot I'm at 12.3 now making 8 psi boost. What do y'all think about this?

What fuel pump? Is the fuel pressure regulator boost reference to the carb hat? Timing should be in the 30s during normal driving conditions and 18 is good at 8 lb.... idle mixture screws on the metering blocks determine your afr at idle

If it were my truck I’d screw in all 4 idle mixture screws while the truck is not running. then turn them a half of a turn out and see where your at..... should be idling in the low 13s.... if it’s lean screw them out equally a little more till you get in the low 13s
