Default Oil Feed NPT Sealant

Hello,

I'm installing a Precision ball bearing turbo and have a 90 degree fitting going into the oil feed. One side is NPT, the other side is -AN. What should I use on the NPT side that goes into the top of the turbo to prevent leaks? I installed it dry and it leaks when it warms up.

I've read teflon tape can melt, I don't know if that is true, I haven't seen it but thought I'd ask to be sure.

Thanks

I always use teflon paste. Light dab around the threads and will seal up just fine. You never want to install pipe thread dry. It always needs tape or paste to seal with paste being preferred

Awesome thank you, I'll pickup and use teflon paste. I saw the lower 300 F temp limit and wasn't sure if I could use it.
