Default Holley Modular low-ram VS LS6 intake?

Im very limited with what intake i can use with my clearance. Im currently using a LS6 with a LS1 throttle body bc thats what clears without rubbing and i still had to trim the underside of the hood a bit. Im tempted to se if this Holley fits but only if there is a performance gain. I also want a different more "serious" look under the hood for visual reasons. Im running 20-25lbs of boost using a Holley HP efi system on a 408ci through Trick Flow ported heads. What are your guys opinions? Worth the swap or stick to the stock LS6?

If you want to lose power everywhere below 6000rpm run the Holley.... The LS6 intake will run circles around it unless you plan to rev that thing super high. The LS6 intake will support bottom 8's in the 1/4. What size turbo (HP rating) and brand are you running?

Ok thats all i needed to hear. I dont plan to rev past 6300/6400rpm. Im running twin 61mm CXracing turbos and im around 1,100whp. I built it as a highway roller so minus the "normal" LS intake look it works just fine. Thank you!

Honestly short of a straight race set up the only reasons i see to run a lo ram is 1. I think an adapter plate to fit a 6 or 8-71 would bolt nicely on top of it or 2. To be able to run a in intake intercooler. The lo ram with intercooler ends up about the same height as a high ram. Other then that your gonna loose power.

You guys are hard on the low ram. I have one on a 427lsx with twin 76mm and it rocks. Almost 1400rwhp at 28lbs rev'd to 7400. Turbo pop off 10lbs on the line almost instantly...no dump needed. 1.14 60ft. Less than 15 passes on the setup and mid 4's

You have a setup that can actually make use of it. For 99% of others, it sucks because of how much RPM it needs.
Also, "I made X power on Y intake" is pretty much irrelevant. A stock plastic intake has been 1400whp before. Does that make it an indicator that swapping to the low-ram is pointless?

That low ram has to be one of the worst designs ever. OK it looks kinda nice, but the short runners will lose power on pretty much everything below 7k. And the injector angle on them is terrible.

But if you're really that stuck for clearance, may as well use it.

Pretty much any intake on any LS is capable of making power.

I agree with all that was said... But honestly with a healthy 408 and those twins, it will make power stupid fast. You'll probably end up pulling all that extra power down low to get it to hook anyway. Glad those 61's have been working out for you! I'm surprised they will even make 25lbs on a healthy 408!

I'd think revving the motor out more would actually be easier on it. What kind of RPM drop do you see on the shifts at 6300? Not as much of an issue with manuals, but I'd think you'd still be in the "danger zone" near PK TQ and better off taking up a little higher.
