Turbo ls1 having issues with breaking up right when it sees boost. 3500rpm is all I get and itv sounds like a 2 step.... which I don't have. Twin 450 lph pumps, 1000cc injectors, all new as well as coil packs and even tried replacing all 8 br7 plugs gaped at 25 thou. Any ideas??? Stock ecu. Afrs are good on wide band. Now I'm not the tuner so I can't answer alot of the specifics on the tune, just mainly asking if anybody has experienced anything close to this. It runs like a beast to 3500rpm!
First off I'm not a turbo guy. Ive never made one or built one. I usually do procharger or nitrous. If your fuel system is up to par and tune is good / ignition. Then first place I'd look is, pull valve covers and look for bad springs/rocker. Maybe Evan unbolt and look for bent push rod. It's not much on my end but that's where I'd start if the other boxes have been checked as good to go as far as your list... My .02¢
I would ck that the fuel pressure reg is raising the FP when it sees boost. Do you have any kind of rev limiter, engine kill for over boost, etc. When it breaks up, what is happening to the AFR's.

fuel pressure does rise as it should, 58psi base. No overBoost ,stock ecu. Afrs are a they should.... it sounds just like a step, it's crazy.
When you say AFR is as it should be, what is it? How much timing? Picking up knock in logs?
I'll have to ask my tuner what the AFR'S were. I know he said they stayed right in range all the way through. Knock sensors arnt hooked up.....I need to wire them up. Timing 18 to 20 deg I believe
So you don't have a wideband and know what the AFR is doing when it is breaking up currently? What it did when it was tuned isn't important. We only care about what it is doing now.
Had a similar issue , turned out it was the map sensor, I was using the China knock off GM brick style 3 bar map sensor switched to a LS9 sensor , the problem went away.
