370ci iron block
Dart pro 1 250cc heads
ls6 intake
160# injectors
E85 fuel
4l80e
2000 firebird
This will be a streetcar with limited track use. hp goal 1000.

For 1000hp you can make that with much smaller turbos around the 64-66 size pretty easy

I was concerned of maxing out smaller turbos

Size the turbo to the goals. If your goal is not really 1000hp then you'd want to go bigger.

2000whp is more than 1000whp. You need to be objective about your true goals and then size the turbos to that.

Depends a lot on the budget and turbos used as well. Which units are you looking at? You have to oversize when running China stuff many times because they just don't perform like the real deal. I can say stay far away form those 72/68 REV9 turbos. They look great on paper, but perform like crap. I've seen precision 64's make 1000+ wheel on a mild 6.0 and a setup of china 76's struggle to do the same.

Seems like the S366's are the middle ground for brand name units, and a sure thing. The 76/65 china turbos have made 1000+ as well. Local just made 1240 on a pair of cast china 78/75s with a mild 360 LS setup as well. you can get the billet china 78/75's units for $270 shipped now. Makes them a heavy contender for cost vs performance, but overkill and a bit laggy compared to the S366 at 1000whp.
