Even the Gen 2.5 is $430 on VSR's website and will easily meet your goals.

If only you paid the extra $10 it would still be alive

True but I'd have to buy another anyways as one was too slow

Figure your cammed 5.3 is probably somewhere around 330whp through that 4l80e. 14.7 psi doubles NA power. Now you can play with rough whp depending on boost levels.

20 pounds without a prob LOL Your tune will make or break the setup, not the power level.

Anything that needs to be changed out running 15 lbs, i know the simple things like injectors, fuel pumps, maybe a turbo cam etc etc, but anything engine component wise, i might switch to a lower compression piston like the 4.8 pistons.

Zero need for meth or low compression on E85. Fuel it properly and it'll laugh at 15PSI.

I started off with a 2005 5.3l LM7 engine bone stock and put a VS s475 T4 clone on it and ran it to 17psi on 90octane and washer fluid before I ran out of fuel. The next(last summer) summer I had a stage 3 summit cam in it, a second 400lph in tank pump and I ran it at 17psi again and made more power but still ran out of fuel pressure. The cam ate up the extra fuel before I could get more boost. This winter I put in a 17.5v fuel pump booster on it, a second washer fluid nozzle, a huge radiator and went to a tube header and log manifold with rear cross over instead of forward. I'm hoping to hit 25psi on the 90 octane still.

My point being that I'm still on the factory bottom end and ring gaps. I've never taken a rod or crank bolt out. I've put 10k miles on it and beat on it. Just get a real, quality tune done and send it. People getting greedy with timing is what ruins most dreams, amongst other things. But E85 erases any worry of detonation from heat and makes water/meth kind of redundant. You'll make 600hp with real moderate timing with a 78/75, a 5.3 and E85. That's a simple request with a stock cam honestly, and if you plan on using a stock converter then i would use a factory cam or a truck grind or something maybe. Worst thing I ever tried was running a cammed engine on a factory converter. Just kills it.

I also spool before 3k and the s475 clone is a bigger turbine than the 78/75. Buddies 78/75 on a 4.8 makes boost before 3k as well. You'll be making 5psi by 3k with a 5.3 78/75 combo, I would bet on it.
