Default best ls coil for turbo

We have a salvage yard by our place that has a big amount of trucks in it.Im going to walk it within the next couple days and was wondering what the best coil for turbo ls is.I have seen people talking about the d585 and was wondering what people thought of those. Is there any certain coils that work better I should look for..thanks in advance

unless you are pushing a lot of power it shouldnt really matter but it wont hurt either.
if you get the d585s just be careful with your dwell table, they are the only coil that fires early with too much dwell.

I could be wrong but i think the D585s are the ones with the big heat sink on them right? If so I would stay away from those ones. I watched Matt from sloppy mechanics melt down 3 different engines all in the same maner and he discovered those coils will sometimes over charge and randomly discharge a spark when it isnt supposed to; in his case it was 40 degrees advanced )

This is incorrect. They can all autofire it just depends which one and how many ms dwell is used. Ex: the D514a LS 2 coil will autofire beyond 3.5 ms.

Run what you have until you blow the spark out. Then step up to smart coils and follow with the Box after you blow that out. If you not in the low 8's... don't worry.

Points and distributors fire turbo motors. Unless You are pushing some really high numbers, this is the last item on your list.

I have tried everything on my car and it just basically turns off under boost. When I get to 20-23 psi it almost like I shut the car off.Theres nothing I havent changed on the car.Only thing that hasnt been changed is the msd6014 and the twin gt3582 turbos.I cant imagine the turbos letting up at 21.I thought the truck coils might help with a spark plug setting of 18 but made no difference. With the coil question I was just seeing what my potential options were.

585 is only coil that fires early. Trendsetter is correct

Did you do any testing comparing 581 to 585? If so, care to share your findings?

Here's a 585 showing you the current limiter.
When the idle goes crazy that is because the coil is being fired early and timing is being advanced erratically
