Intercooler question
I started off my boost journey with a procharger D1SC kit with the twin intercoolers. And my boost gauge would read 15 ish lbs of boost.
when I upgraded to a front mount my gauge went from 15 to 8.
my friend told me that the gauge would go down because I had more room air with the bigger tubing an intercooler.
but I have another friend telling me that the front mount has restricted my airflow now that boost gauge has went down.
So what I need to know is do I need to put a bigger intercooler in it. The current one is 24x12x3.
Chang the pulley out to make more boost?

I would say that you have less restriction with the larger intercooler as you boost decreased. I have a 390 cubic inch motor and my D1sc is pushing 14-15psi through a front mount but I'm nearly maxing out the procharger with the 7.65" crank pulley and a 3.55" blower pulley.

boost is just a measurement of restriction.
There's a good chance you are making the same power, if not more, at a lower boost level. That's a pretty significant drop in boost though.
You can go from a stock cam to an aftermarket cam and drop boost, you can put on better cylinder heads on it and drop boost.
