Default How do I make more boost????

My P1SC is making about 5.5 psi with stock ATI crank pulley and a 3.2 sc pulley. I want to make 7-8 psi. I can't find a MMS crank pulley anywhere and don't want to go to a smaller sc pulley, as I'm having belt issue already with such a small sc pulley. I don't have a ton of extra $$$$ to get 8 rib set up. What can I do? I thought about hooking my leaf blower up to my P1SC, but that looks a bit strange...lol Anyone know what the options are. Please help!!!

If money is the issue, get the 6 rib spring tensioned SDCE set up then. Its a lil less than the 8 rib set up.

I am glad to see someone else only seeing 5.5 psi with a P-1SC-1 and a 3.2 pulley. When you say you only see 5.5 psi with a 3.2 pulley, people tell you how they are seeing 7-8 psi with that same set-up and that something must be wrong.

My SD Concepts 8-rib set-up is on the way, so lets hope I can start seeing 7-8 psi

Do they take sad pictures of a guy who is really wanting just 7-8lbs of boost as payments? Probably not...... Good luck with the 8 rib set up!

I would get 6 rib set up, I'm still not sure about pulley size to get the boost I want. I already have 3 pulleys and no numbers that I'm happy with. If the belt is slipping that much, it makes it very hard to determine what size vs. tension.

I'm not sure what you want to hear. You want to make more power and not spend much money. Modding doesn't work that way. To get more power you can change the pulley, go to an 8 RIB setup, add a blower cam, etc .. All options are going to cost you a few bucks.

Good Luck,

Mark

I had the same problem with my P-1sc-1 and 3.2" pulley. Then I got an MMS 7.85" crank pulley and a 3.7" pulley. I know that I see 5 psi as soon as I go WOT and 8 psi by redline! I would try the spring loaded tensioner from SDCE. Everyone I have talked to says that it works great!

With stock crank pulley and 4.10 sc pulley I saw 2psi > with 3.4 pulley 4psi > with 3.2 5.5psi. I'm not sure if there is a lot of slipage. I don't see any blk dust from belt and I'm using a gator back with tons of belt dressing. I never hear any strange noises either. Trust me > I understand spending money. I just don't like mis-spending money. Just looking for some help, thats all.

I will let you know what psi I get with my SD Concepts 8-rib set-up and a 4.0 pulley. Since we are seeing the same boost (5.5 psi) before the 8-rib, we should have identicle results.

Where can I get a MMS pulley? The MMS web site is no longer in business. Anyone know of any other options of pulley designers?

Going have to find a used one. I used to run the MMS with a 3.4 successfully, a little slip. When I tried the MMS and a 3.2 it was slip city and would toast a belt after two to 3 runs.

Check with Strictly Performance. They told me they were going to continue to make the MMS Pulley.

I had some issues as well with the P1SC on a modded motor, in a C5. 3.5" pulley I was getting 5-6psi. I fixed some tensioner/slippage issues and went to 6-8psi. Installed 3" Reichard pulley, 10psi. Then upgraded to D1SC/3" Reichard, 14psi to 5k, 9psi to 6k. Installed A&A bracket, and found crank pulley traction, 14psi to redline. Hope this helps.
