Fortunately I log every pass.
Right after that run I couldn’t tell you what I did, but the data does.

I chopped the throttle at 1.2 seconds. Quick lift. I shifted to second also and was back on the floor. Still hit pretty hard
MPH was 90 when it landed.

Adam, that no prep car is wild. 😊
I personally don’t care for no prep racing. I get that at my local track every weekend. Not because it’s designed to be that way, but simply because they don’t give a ****.

season is over here, so I’ll get this fixed and get out in the spring with a slightly different approach.

That turbo motor combo probably makes boost pretty quick, maybe next time limit the front end travel to an inch and run the shocks in front fairly tight. Might still want 10-20 hung somewhere in the nose.

Happy to hear the damage is minimal Ron. The video was impressive. Wish that Evo wasn't making so much racket shooting ducks next to you.

Your Nova is really quiet, at least on video. What do you have for exhaust on the car?

What’s is the race weight? Have you ever scaled the car to see what the weight bias is? I’d be interested in that info

Don’t limit travel, bangin the stops can unload the suspensions and cause spin issues. Much better to use the shocks. Good tracks necessitate tighter settings (front and rear).

It does. Martin Smallwood picked the turbo and the cam. Added bonus was a free billet wheel.

Ha! I couldn't hear my car when staging.
Open exhaust, 4" dump behind the right front wheel.
I put a home made muffler on it when driving. It knocks the noise down quite a lot.
Glad you found the video.

It was 3400 a number of years ago. But now have a heavier IC, heavier front and rear tires, so my guess is 3450 or so.
We did scale it, I lost the info though. I believe it was 53/47

I had removed the upper a-arm stops, the rubber things. So by limiting, I am putting snubbers back in there. Did it just awhile ago. Reduces front end upward travel from 5.5" to 4".

As far as tying it way down, it's done all the time on small tire cars and excellent track prep. I know some guys who run 8.5 outlaw, amazing how fast they are on those baby tires.
So will be something to experiment with.

Might be worth comparing front and rear shock settings for cars like this, I assume leaf cars on a DR it's good to get some separation in back?

The CalTrac bars do make it separate. Just not a ton.
I have Strange DA shocks in the back. I need to determine how they are set.
The ***** are on opposite sides of the shocks, so need to remove the tires to adjust.
My car still has the stock staggered shock setup.
At any rate, the rear of the car works great on a prepped track.

Hmmm stock front shocks, are those then acting like a 50/50 @3 window ? If so then they might act on the loose side?

Impressive wheelie. Looks like Woodburn. Was the track fully prepped? They used to glue the hell out of it for Divisional races.

Correct, Woodburn. It was our annual carne Asada test and tune track rental. 7th annual this year. Always a great time. 40 cars, full track prep.
Temp was mid 60’s, sun, DA was around sea level.

Good thing my buddy brought his street truck down in a trailer.

What a loser. RonSSCivic never has this problem, lol.
