wastegates and intercooler So went through more pages than I can remember but that just sent me in confusion state. Need to decide on gates and intercooler.
Was recommended a pair of Hypergate 45s and compgate 40's but I'm considering china gates. How lucky are you guys getting with them?
As far as intercoolers the Treadstone TR1245R has my eye so far but how about any others that you guys have used? No real data on the summit ones that I have found.
Anyone care to set me straight, maybe add suggestions or advice?

I've got the VS 50mm gate and I just had to clean up a bit of metal shavings on the diaphragm and I also lapped the valve with some heavy lapping compound to have a better seal on the fire ring. Other than that was alright. For what it costs I'm not complaining
I use the amazon 50mm gates, same as VSR but without the writing on it. They were $50 but went up a bit to $67. Boost has absolutely been on a rope the last 5 setups I've used them on.

Swapped on a 1245R Treadstone and IAT's were/are cooler and 1st trip to dragstrip, the single, (poorly placed) wastegate would no longer control boost whatsoever.
Ended up installing 2 brand new VSR 44's, with awesome exhaust priority, and can now make from 4 to 22#, steady and consistently, using a 4 port MAC valve and my EBoost Street boost controller

I've never done anything besides take it apart and make sure it wasn't full of garbage. I've definitely seen pictures on the internet of people having issues. I personally have not though.
Honestly there's no reason not to do this regardless of the brand, the fact is people make mistakes and a few minutes of inspection can save a lot of time and headache down the road.
