Kevin Polchan aka 'kp' passed this weekend. He was a bit of a legend in here, he had some very meticulous and strong running Procharger builds. As I recall he was the first F-body in the 8's with a D1.

Kevin will be greatly missed, I was really shocked yesterday when I read he had died. If I recall correctly, he ran a 9.13 in the 1/4 with his '98 Trans-Am with a D-1SC. He was using an SDCE bracket at the time. Bob

I edited my comment, I fat fingered it. He went 8.9 or 8.8 with one of the two cars he built.
RIP, he was a good guy. He was a Chicago native, and he joined our 4th gen scene and kinda blew everyone away. He had been racing and wrenching on SBC/BBC combos in the past going back to when he was in high school.
He later moved to Knoxville TN and had been there for I think 20 years. We talked but not often enough, I last talked to him in October.
Was a great guy.
