Second, or DC, AC Compressor for chilling intercooler?
Just letting my brain roam today, and I thought about the AC compressor relocation kits and 12VDC AC compressors, and the question jumped into my head... could a second AC compressor be a viable option for chilling the liquid for an A2W intercooler system?

Electric cars use a electric AC pump but on most of them its 400V DC..
It would not be a crazy experiment, Your heat exchange would need to handle 300+ PSI on the refridgerant side.

I know of the Interchiller system. I think that one is for PD superchargers.
you need more than just the compressor, you need an entire system to cool the refrigerant - condenser, heat exchanger, orifice/expansion valve
the interchillers can be used with any a2w intercooler, i use one with about 8gallon tank, pierburg400 pump, shearerfab hiram mounted intercooler... it can drop the a2w temps down to low 30s (i use antifreeze in the system, water could freeze), I can go much lower but it has problems sheading the heat load off the condenser.
I know back in like 2012, 417 motorsports built Crust Nova (Blake's car). They did something with the a/c on the air to water intercooler. You might be able to internet that.

Im running an interchiller inline with my a/w intercooler on my procharger f1a setup. Any air to water intercooler will work as long as you run the chiller before the intercooler. I decided to run an electric compressor for a volvo bus that i found on aliexpress lol. Still havent finished the setup and im in the process of applying lizard skin to my reservoir and intercooler to avoid condensation at the track and avoid temperature loss from engine bay heat. I run the 13” chiller from kincaid performance. They sell the chiller separate so you dont have to buy their entire system. Ill get some pics for you but its pretty straight forward as far as routing the lines and stuff. The compressor comes with a ballast which is nice.

No need for redundancy. The primary compressor is all that is needed. Remember always, simplify and add lightness.. The man who first those spoke words would smack you in the head for asking for 2 compressors.
