Awsome man, i just ordered both bracket and tensioner….exactly as you described, thank you , hopefully i will be back on here within a week to let you all know the results……i also have a nova with a LSA blower and manual tensioner, i might have to look into getting a second setup for that car as well……

Not really having any belt slip issues on here….but then again its a built 370” (ls3 headed LQ9) with 3” dual glasspacks exiting before rear wheels, 2.45” pulley, very little restriction 9/10psi…..if i can pick up 3 more psi it will be well worth the $200 for the needed parts!!!

Hell yeah thats a dope *** car, what did you do to get those tires to fit back there?? Yeah mine flies….im in the process of building a 408” for it then i can put the 370” into the c10….but at the same time they are running fine and i was brought up with the “if it aint broke dont try to fix it mindset”…..but ill be dammned if that 408” aint taunting me every time I go out into the garage!!!….do you plan on painting your nova….i painted mine in my garage after watching endless hours of you tube videos….the truck too the nova has a green ghost pearl the c10 is a blue ghost pearl

Green ghost pearl on nova

Green ghost pearl on nova again

i know space is tight in these novas but have you looked into intercooler options for your car, my setup was showing high IAT’s untill i put a 3” intercooler setup on it….its well worth it

what kinda ecu are you running? Do you have a build thread on your car, what motor you running , trans, rear gears etc etc etc….also i have a first gen camaro rear trunk spoiler on mine to make it a bit different than your typical nova … suspension chassis wise i got upgraded fat helwig front and back sway bars and competetion engineering subframe connectors , i was pleasantly suprised with the results those minor suspension mods mades….i only wish i would of done them sooner

I get it mines only a 5.3 and and I'm already thinking of building something bigger. But like you said, it's not broke and the boost has made it a lot more fun for now. That color looks sick! Wish I could do that. Good job! I painted mine hot rod black in my Garage. It looks decent but I don't think I'll dare to try and paint it with a 2 stage. I'm good at mechanical but thats it haha. My Nova is mini tubbed I can fit 12 5" tires back there. I may get some ET streets soon. I'll probably attempt to put an intercooler in the future. I hope to pulley down to your set up when I do. I think I can fish the discharge tube just like you did I have some room to play there. I was only making 4 pounds before the Tensioner upgrade I didn't think it was needed per Vortech but now I may be near 10 pounds, something to think about. No build thread I should of through. Spoiler looks nice I'm thinking of doing that and the front spoiler. I've got a 4l80E, 12 bolt rear shortened, with 4:10 gears. I just recently installed the BMR suspension Torque arm with coilovers. I like how it handles, it rides so much better. The front suspension was completely rebuilt with BMR suspension control arms, sway bar and ls1 breaks. Viking coilovers all around. Running stock ECU hoping to get it Dyno'd again in a few weeks.

Nice!!! I see youve put alot of thought into that build and it shows…..unlike mine which is just a bunch of parts that i cobbled together with great results…and for the record my car was flat black for several years before i decided to bite the bullet and actually put legit paint on it….you tube is your friend, watch all the paint videos you can, that was the first car i ever painted and i was hesitant too at first but if u have an old fender or hood just use it as a practice panel….ive since did 5 of my vehicles in my garage with great results….its only paint man!!! And seeing how all my cars are drivers, i wasnt shooting for show car perfection!!!

Those 3 were done in the cramped garage in the pic below

This one is charcoal mettalic with black pearl and a hint of white pearl

This one is my mother in laws honda accord that was black with failing clear coat….i scuffed it up and re-cleared it with that same blue ghost pearl added to it to get this lovely blue color…..the last one i dont have a picture of on my phone but its my 2014 tahoe which is also black with failing clear coat so i ended up scuffing it and doing it black mettalic…im waiting a few more weeks for it to cure then im gonna put a couple of coats of clear on it with some blk anc white pearls added…..

Im not a car painter by any means, im actually just a plumber…..but like i said endless hours of you tube research and you can do it too!!!

I also used the same bracket and tensioner pulley he posted on a previous post. The only thing I had to do was add washers to space the bracket away from the Vortech supercharger's bracket. (Later I will add proper spacers). Even though the tensioner does get pushed out further away, it is still is in line with the belt. This definitely made a huge difference, I took my car to get Dyno tuned before the upgrades and I was only getting 4.5 pounds of boost, after 4k rpm, boost started falling off. I have not taken it back to the Dyno yet but my boost gauge now reads between 9-10 pounds, it is a different animal now. I will be taking it back to the Dyno hopefully within a month. I'm using a Griptech 3.25" pulley the belt I used is 117". I recommend anybody having belt slip issues with this set up to do these upgrades ASAP!
Update! Took it back to the Dyno today, belt slip is completely eliminated, boost curve was positive all the way through the rpms. Maxed out at 10.5 pounds. I am now thinking of going with a smaller pulley and adding an intercooler.
