Help me figure out my boost issue So my car is acting weird. I have a built ls1 g45 turbo 4l80e strange s60. Car has bee. Flawless the last 1500 miles and on 11 psi. Pulled great ran great ect. Started to dive into some tuning with it and all went as expected. Added some fuel changed some timing on the map added anlittle boost. All still was great. We then turned up boost alittle more to 19 psi pulled like it should was really quick. We added alittle more fuel to bring it to 11.5s uploaded the tune and all the sudden car won’t make any boost at all. The second it’s going from vacuum to boost it’s like a 2 step is activated and it won’t do anything. It revs fine it’ll go up in the rpm as long as no boost is added. My buddy who built the car is leaning toward map sensor. Any input is greatly appreciated.
The car has hard mounted boost pipes and ever clamp/ coupler/ up pipe down pipe vac line ect is all in tact. Sprayed brake clean all around the intake no changes in idle. I’m lost

If you loaded old tunes and it’s the same then it’s not a software problem it’s a hardware problem.
If the log shows map sensor ‘acting correctly’ in vacuum it’s probably not that. It’s going to be bad or it won’t.
I would go over all the piping between turbo and throttle body again. Boost leak test if you can.

Yeah I’ll have to check again i checked every inch of it on hot and cold side and couldn’t see anything obvious, I’ve got a new map coming just to rule it out but it’s weird forsure car drives perfect minus getting into boost.

If the map sensor somehow reads correct in vacuum then sticks at 100 in boost you would be running lean not rich.
what does the map sensor actually read? It sounds like you’re trying to tune by braille and you really need to embrace data logging in this day and age.

I just unplugged the map and it got past the hiccup spot, were tuning on HP I’m not a tuner by any means. It’s also not on my computer so i can’t just pull logs from nothing. I’ll be back on the labtop with my tuning buddy this week and I’ll get a log. Ran like *** with the map unplugged but still showed atleast some sort of boost. The map i currently run is the efi source one
