Default Additional Oil Sender Location

Hello gents, posting this here since it sees the most action.
I've got a 99 Camaro and am adding an additional 3-wire oil pressure sensor in order to log oil pressure off the engine since the current setup only reads on the gauge and not the PCM.
Looking at adding the senor to the port at the front of the engine on the driver side which looks like its fed right from the oil pump.
I wouldn't mind a t-adapter of some kind at the back where the oil sender is currently located but am having a hard time finding a tee that would work.
Is the location I'm considering gonna work, is there a more ideal location, or does someone have a part number for the tee they can share?
Many thanks as always gents!

I don't know about the port on the front but I ran a braided line from the back, T'd it off and used the stock sending unit for the factory cluster and ran another sender to and aftermarket gauge to tell me exact pressure, I have it attached between the cowl and the brake booster so it's easy to service but still out of the way.

Yeah it looks like both senders use an M16x1.5 thread with a gasket seal so finding a tee or adapter so far has not been possible.
I'm not worried about adding an additional mechanical gauge, there's not enough time for me to look at it when making a pull so I'm just going to log it with HP Tuners and use the in car gauge as a reference only.

I can take a picture when I get back home, but I wanted the same thing-

What I found was that I couldn't use the DRV front bung due to the low ALT mount, so I bought a twin turbo flange for the DRV rear oil pan, placed one sensor on a brass 45* 1/8" NPT adapter, then remote mounted the other oil pressure sensor (SS 4AN coming out of the other port on the flange). There was juuuuust enough room for the SS line and the adapter.

I think I have plenty of room at the front of the engine, my alternator is mounted up high on the passenger side so space in that area shouldn't be a concern, just wasn't sure if that would be a good spot to read pressure from as far as accuracy goes.

I don't see why not- like you said, it's right at the pump. It was my preferred location until I couldn't make it fit (even the bung was in the way of my alternator mount).

I think ict billet makes an adapter to go from the 16mm port to 1/8 npt. Would fit in either location and could be teed off for twins. Or tee from the oil cooler fitting ?

The ls3 sender is M16x1.5 from what I've researched so I don't think going to a 1/8" npt would work?
Gotta have the 3-wire sender so I can wire it into the pcm.
Thinking I'll just use the port at the front provided it's the same thread pitch.

Sorry , read your post too quickly and focused on the teeing part . Can't confirm, but itc site says it'll fit both locations on the block , so the ls3 sensor should also

I did exactly what you’re looking at doing. Stock sensor in the stock location, and additional sensor on the lower driver side port on my NA Ls7 for years.

I have the ecu off the factory location at the back of the valley. Gauge location is the front of block on the drivers side. Works great, used an adapter provided by Dakota digital with their dash setup.
