Default Aem v3 water meth kit questions.

So I just finished up my wiring, or so I thought......so when the key is on I can hear a slight hum from the pump, is this normal? I'd assumed it should be quiet until it turns on. Also I'm not using a low level sensor and am getting 1 flash for low fluid. Should the wires be tied together or a way to make it think it's full. Thanks

Pump primes at start-up ?
AEM " Tests" the low-juice warning light at Key-On ??

I have not yet read AEM's installation instructions, but I'd engineer both features into a water injection controller.

Pump works and sprays with the test button, but there is alwasy a constant hum from the pump. I used the factory fluid tank and dont have a sensor hooked up to the controller and from what I'm finding now is I may need to comment the wires together for the sensor to be full

I would have to reread the instructions again, but as I remember the pump runs all the time, but at a low level so it keeps the line full, and I think at the nozzle it has a valve that will stay closed until the pump runs at full power and can overcome it.

That doesnt sound right. I've got WMI kits on 2 cars and neither hum or make any noise until you press the loud pedal.

Its been a minute since I used my aem controller, but I do seem to remember it would hum when not activated but system on. I believe it keeps the pumped primed, there's a check valve in the pump so it just recirclates fluid through its self. As long as it's not spraying any fluid from the nozzle it's prob fine.

Do you Have the directions? What do you have the turn on pressure at? If you have it all the way down turn it up some and see if the pump quits humming. Last resort if nobody can give a for sure answer call AEM and get an answer from them.

Finally found this. Guess it is good.unless not buzzing lol.Short circuit self-diagnostics

There are two modes of pump-driver short circuit protection available. One can detect a short at
any time but produces a slight buzzing in the pump. This should not be noticeable under most
conditions, but can be turned off if it is objectionable. If turned off, a short circuit can only be
detected when the pump is running.

I talked to AEM about the same exact issues you are having and this is what I discovered...

1. The buzzing is normal.
2. The level sensor wires can be joined together so it does not trip the alarm for low fluid level (I used my washer fluid tank...)
