Got the doors, door panels, and interior installed. Still power windows. Doors are on pins for quick removal with a Deutsch connector for the window wires.
Installed the rear wing and put the parachute back on.

Was gonna fire it up the other day, but had no compression. Did a leak down and nada…. After some investigation, determined my pushrods are too long and were holding the valves open. I’ve measured for pushrods on at least 10+ engine builds and haven’t been wrong yet…I guess I just ***’d up… New ones will be here tomorrow.

Thank you for the paint code!
At least the pushrods are just too long. On a big build, sometimes, you have those minor mixups.

Got compression now…

Got fuel pressure… but got fuel leaks too. Pinched an injector o ring… thought I had a box of spares, but can’t find it…. I’ll pick some up tomorrow.

That sounds a bit on the rowdy side!

Good luck with your test hits!

Thanks!

My wife was not amused with the level of smoke it produced, as she opened the door to see what was up…

Thanks Scottie. We met at Cecil a couple years back. I’ll keep you in mind when I find out there are more parts I need… or upgrade…

Weighed it yesterday.

2616 with 53% on the nose.

I forgot I had a regular battery in it, and not my Braille, so likely about 30lbs lighter…

I’m pretty happy as I was hoping to be under 2700lbs so I could add weight where I need it to make class weight.

What do you need to weigh Pete, looked like the NMCA Xtreme Street weight was 3200 with a billet wheel 76.

I haven’t read the rules lately, John, but I think you’re right, or at least close…

nothing like adding 400lbs to a car to make weight!

But the rules 'tween Ultra / 235 / and Xtreme Street are not all the same, I think at Cecil it's lighter.
