Default eBay ecotec3 turbo install on L83 2016 Silverado 1500

5.3 with stage 3 tsp cam kit. Purchased ecotec3 2014+ Silverado eBay turbo kit. My question is the o2 sensor placement. Both front o2 sensors will be in the crossover pipe and they will be before the waste gate in the exhaust. Is this ok? Seems that they will get the same readin and will be from only bank 1. If so does anyone have a compare tune in hp tuners to get me started. Cold side will be intercooled and will be running 8-10 psi. 70mm turbo. Thanks in advance!

FWIW,, the Holley terminator only has 1 O2 and it goes on 1 side...
Since that setup puts 100% of both sides through one pipe, I'd think you'd want to run them on the same pipe like described so you don' t get one reading for half the motor and one for all vs 2 for all.

I would not run the O2 sensors before the turbo. The back pressure will alter the readings.

My last 4th Gen Camaro had the factory O2 sensors in the manifolds pre-turbo and it worked fine, maybe this is different?
OP, CX Racing makes a kit that looks way better btw, eBay stuff like this always worries me.

Got any pics?
I've been tossing around the idea of a power adder on my 2015 Silverado 5.3.

Pics? What kind of power is it making? What fuel are you running as well as injectors/fuel pump?
How is the transmission holding up? 8 speed auto I assum?

My 17 Yukon Denali may need a whirlie boy on it.

James: Please show us some pics of install.
Waste gate springs only or external boost control ?
Any more specs you can share on the 70mm turbo ?
what is part throttle driveability like ? ie: when easing into throttle, does boost start building BEFORE transmission downshifts ?
At what (rpm) does full throttle boost start to drop off ?

The turbo it comes with is a 70mm on the cold side and the ar.70 on cold side. The hot side is a ar .63. This turbo will make 10psi inside the intake at 1500 rpm’s and makes pulling trailers feel like you’re in a 2500 pickup. It did do some funky shifting at first but I just had to play with hp tuners. Mine has the 6speed transmission btw. The wastegate being on the crossover pipe was causing major boost creep so I got rid of it and welded it to the turbo housing.
