The Turbo TA is BACK!
Yesterday I was scrolling FB and saw some pictures from either the shop or maybe the owner of the place working on my car.

I thought to myself, DAMN they do nice work. Cant wait to see that kind of stuff on my car. Shortly after liking the pics/post he sent me a message and said "You know thats your car right?" I went back and looked and in the last pic I posted above you can see that it IS my car!! He then sent me some more pics

This thing is gonna be SICK!! I am so excited[img alt="

"]data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7[/img]! The roof and the wing are both from Kostick composites. Mikes parts are top notch, some of the best carbon parts I have ever seen. The only other parts in the same realm are Ultra Carbon, and they use very similar methods so it makes sense. I wish I could buy all the parts he makes LOL
FINALLY got my parts from Midwest Chassis.
This is the t-top delete metal

And the cowl delete/firewall

I did the 2/3 delete kit, but really even more of the stock firewall will go away by the end. This just makes Jordans job a little easier so he doesn't have to fabricated the entire thing. I have probably said it before, but these two things should have been done by my buddy when he owned it. Ignoring that, the last owner 100% should have done both since they had all the glass out and painted the car. I am not looking forward to having to do paint work, but oh well.
Anyway, thats all for now. No new pics from the chassis shop just yet.

I got a HANS device finally

My helmet is beat to hell!

I need to adjust the tether, but I will do that later. I do also want to get a new helmet, but that is lower on the list for now. New suit should be in tomorrow though! Even though I probably wont be able to run the car until MAYBE late next year, I needed the actual safety gear to do the seat pour.
I apparently also got a new mid plate today [img alt="

He's holding out on pics of the car though, that's all I got LOL. It could be that nothing has been happening while they waited on the plate, but who knows.

I have that same Necksgen device. I like it. I bought mine way too early before my car was ready, so the cert expired before I even got to use it. Just like my fire suit…
I'm worried about that too, but I needed them for the seat pour. Hopefully I can get the car on track in a reasonable amount of time.
Got my new suit today, and damn is it nice! I have always had RJS before, but after asking around some I ended up with Pro1. It fits really well, actually a little better than my old suit even. I was surprised that its not all that bulky for being a /20 suit. It is however way heavier than I expected. So jacket, pants, helmet and HANS are 16lbs! The suit is around 12-12.5 of that.
Anyway, some pics

Pretty boring, but another piece of the puzzle.

Its time for an update!! So yesterday I got a pic of the midplate all trimmed up and ready to go.

OH YEAH!! This morning I got a call from the chassis guy to let me know that the motor plate I had was set up for an offset driveline. For those who dont know, F-bodies have the drivetrain offset to the passenger side by 1 inch. I did already know that, but just wasn't thinking about it. I knew everything was moving back some amount, so I did expect to have to remake the turbo kit already. What I didnt think about is that the manifold is into the steering shaft now, which also needs to change. I made the decision to put the engine and trans where it needs to be, and I will just deal with the rest. I am not sure right now if I am going to have them make me manifolds, or if I am going to take a stab at it myself. It kind of depends how bad it looks when its all set.
Anyway, with that they kept going.

Its coming along!! I cant wait to go out there soon to see it in person and get all fit.
