Convert -12 to -10 AN
It is a street use car so I really don't need the fat -12 lines. Plus there isn't a lot of room for anything at all. If I can minimize a few things it makes a big difference in the cleanliness of the Engine bay. IMHO...
Any suggestions??
Thank You!!
I saw a very cool fitting once that used an O-Ring but it was a compression type fitting that did what I need. For the LIFE of me, I can't find it. I think it was aeromotive but searched there and - nothing. They were like $20 each! but a real problem solver. Only IF you had a smooth wall tube. Won't work on molded plastic.
I could use a short chunk of 3/4 hose and put an adapter on it with 2 clamps - that would be ugly though. I don't want more ugly.
Any other info suggestions??
Thanks again!!

It's a good idea and keeps things looking clean. I am really not worried about going to -10 for the Intercooler system. I'm not cutting anything off so I can always go back to -12 if it becomes a problem. Thanks for the help - love this place.
LS1RX-7 - My son & I did a 93 with an LS1 / T5. Fun project. It was my introduction to the LS world - Now look at me! Sticking F'n Superchargers on em. I'm Old Skool though ... Everything MUST have something sticking out of the hood AND be Tubbed. I'm only 1/2 of that philosophy on this project. Tubs might be coming some day... And long gone are the days of tuning with a screwdriver.
Practice Hood - GLAD I got it. The -10 lines will be easier to hide. The intake tube is going away too.
Like they say in the NFL... 'Upon Further Review' ....
The reason the AeroFlow are $20+ is because they ship from Freak'n Sydney Australia! They are under $9 on their site. RaceTronix has a similar fitting - shipping from Canada!- For the same price but shipping is tolerable.
Thanks again for all the help here - Eh'

The Hose Barb / AN conversion fitting works if the barb is cut off. The O-Ring acts as a compression sleeve and it holds surprisingly well. Not gonna be a problem at this point.Cutting the barb off the ZL1 Heat Exchanger showed the ID of the Inlet / outlet to be just over 1/2" so the 10AN hose (or ANY size) is limited by that. Here's a couple pics.
I'm happy with the way it turned out AND I can get rid of that UGLY tube showing thru the hood
10AN is easier to hide.
ZL1 Outlet tube - that's as big as it gets!
