Corsa sport cfm rating? How many cfm will a corsa sport muffler flow? I'm building a 1953 belair with a 5.3, mild cam, vortech v1 s trim. A single muffler will be much easier for space requirements but unsure if a single muffler will flow enough.
You’ll likely have to ask the company directly and im sure there is some difference in flow between their different models that are 2.5” and 3”.
Have you considered a boost activated cutout installed before a quiet oem style muffler which will give you the best of both worlds? You could even install the corsa before the cutout so its still tame when it opens.

Yea, I was planning on contacting Corsa about this question. I'm not going to dive in to doing boost activated cutout or anything fancying. This is just a street car with some blower whine, I'm still debating on whether or not to use corsa mufflers. I love the LS platform but find it hard to make them sound good, in my opinion.
The carven R mufflers are a straight through design with a similar raspy growl the corsa has. Also much cheaper and compact. About 100 shipped each. I ordered a set to put on a little 13:1 5.3. Should arrive any day now.
I did a single 3" Magnaflow (largest one that would fit for both noise and flow) on my last 4th gen in the factory location and it sounded good, still had a good tone and noise level, DD ideal.
It got a little louder as it broke in as well but seemed to stop after about a year.

Carvens are weird. I have a set I've yet to use. But they are basically a hollow shell with a small disc inside full of holes. I *think* resonance is the reason they sound cool in some setups and not others. *if* your setup hits the right frequency to get the disc in the shell resonating, It makes a raspy cool corsa like sound. If you don’t, you basically have a straight pipe as they do diddly for sound deadening. I’m a huge fan of the corsa sound as well. The carven setup I heard locally sounded very similar at higher RPM. It was a 2.5” kit with an x pipe and 2 carven R’s on an LS1.

I ended up ordering a dual in/out spintech pro street 9000. After taking measurements there was almost zero chance of fitting two mufflers and have both exhaust pipes coming out the same side. Spintech always seems to sound good even with a mild cam.
