Looking for some advise from people that have done it.
I’ve got a 408 with AFR LS3 heads and 9.6:1 compression.
has anyone run a 408 with the APS extreme kit?
what kind of power did you make? Did it spool fast? Did is choke the motor off while out of boost? Would like to hear what your guys have to say about it.
the turbos are 6266
this would be used with T56
is a 408 too large for this kit??
I already have the engine, it’s brand new. LSX block with Callie’s billet crank and rods, AFR LS3 heads

Bump!
In for the same info, Have a similar setup on a 402 with PRC LS3 heads and slightly higher compression. Already ordered the kit just wondering how its going to perform.

We ran a APS Extreme kit down into the 5.20s in a f-body with a glide behind a LS7 based 435.
I am in the process up swapping motors for an iron 408 and replacing the APS turbos with 6266s.
With a stroker it should not be too laggy.
I do know someone with a 6.2 and the bigger 6766s (no longer available ) and he says they are laggy.

I have last years APS TT kit attached to a ls3 427 Hurons fuel kit, largest injectors but with the 6766 turbos. T56. I didn’t use the pedestal k member and used the second BMR option; Huron said would work, which it does, but I had to rerun the charge and intake pipes.
In short…there is no lag. Turbos spool quickly once under load. Plenty of torque in motor w out help from boost.
