Ive been looking into upgrading my intake/TB on my 2000 SS camaro. Currently I have a ls6 intake with a stock ported throttle body. I was wondering how much a 102mm fast intake/TB would improve flow or if it will hurt or help driveability.
Im running stock heads built ls1 headers borla exhaust and a D1X procharger with 11 lbs of boost and FMIC 3in piping @ 4500ft. Just a fun car to drive I don't want to hurt its driveability too much.
All the research ive done said it would definitely help. Jus looking for a pros opinion.

Thanks
what are you trying to accomplish?
if you want to go faster, swap pulleys.
Will gain more power per dollar than the cost of a new intake and tb.
Im just trying to improve the car. Im not worried about price for HP. Just wondering if the fast intake would be a improvement or mess with driveability. Ill be putting a smaller pulley on it.
It will just drop your boost a smidge. What your supercharger moves for airflow (your pulley size and inlet setup) dictates your power. How well the engine flows just dictates your boost. Almost anything you change after your supercharger (with a few exceptions) simply moves around the amount of boost it takes to make that HP.
I make 900 wheel HP through the factory throttle body and LS6 intake with a D1x. Rock solid reliable and no fitment issues.

You have an ls6 intake and stock throttle body on a 416 cubic inch motor? What heads?
Yeah, no chance I would spend the money putting a FAST 102 on this setup. Pulley down, put a bigger blower on it, run better fuel, really anything else before a bigger intake manifold and TB.
Kind of splitting hairs here, but technically a larger throttle body will make off idle response twitchier, which is the opposite of helping drivability.
