Please help a TNG ( Turbo- New- Guy ) out with a basic understanding of the proper operation and set up of a Huron Speed V2 house brand Blow Off Valve, mounted in cold side pipe, about 8 inches from Throttle body, BOV is WIDE OPEN at idle, meaning wide open UNFILTERED air straight into engine.
I have BOV TEE'd into manifold vacuum along with Wastegate and Fuel pressure regulator.
Out of the box presumably with the lightest springs... what's my first move? Heavy springs, or should I source vacuum( boost) somewhere else, besides MANIFOLD ?
Pretty near stock motor here, 5.3 liter, VSR7875 turbo, mild TSP 208/214 duration "low lift" cam, expect a STRONG vacuum signal at idle, around 40-ish kPa befor the turbo installation.
SO, what do I expect ? Wrap a dust filter around the BOV, add springs, or am I just plumbed wrong ?

Oh, the BOV snaps shut instantly if I pull the vacuum hose off.
.
Are we supposed to run "ported vacuum " ?
Where is proper vacuum source for BOV ?
No instructions furnished with BOV. Couple extra springs, o-ring and a clamp. that's it.
The good news is, I made it to the gas station, got 8 good heat cycles, 6 coats of Ceramic VHT paint on the turbine, and first oil drain is totally CLEAN, no chips or debris.
Transmission shifts nice. VERY quiet through stock Suburban muffler.

My BOV has a screw with a jam nut in the middle of the top. Turn it in for more spring pressure, loosen for less. You want it to barely stay closed at idle and open up under higher vacuum, like when you let off...throttle blade closes and the engine is under higher vacuum than idle...it pulls the valve open and allows the boost to "blow off".
if you don't have this screw, you'll need to change the spring.

HS 50mm V2 piston BOV, installed RED spring today, stays closed at idle.
Pretty sure I heard a little "whoosh" as throttle closed, 4000 rpm first gear.
Next step: 60# Deatsch injectors going in tomorrow.
