Zo6 cam worth it? I know I know...again

Not necessarily, but Procharger's may be more finicky than turbos when it comes to cams.
Any cam can be a turbo cam really, unless you're setting records it won't matter.
For me personally, I buy a cam made for the application because I want every bit of power.
The overlap is what is going to fail the sniff test, it allows unburned fuel into the exhaust so if you're getting sniffed, stay away from those cams.
I've known guys who have leaned their cars out to the point they can barely drive them in order to pass a sniff test back in the day.
I'm a big fan of Pat G. for remote tuning, he does excellent work and has yet to blow up any of my junk.
Really if you're going to be playing with LS stuff you should have an HP Tuners setup to make changes and data log.
If you have no interest in ever making changes, Pat G. can use EFI Live which costs a lot less than a full HP Tuners setup.

Which state are you in? In Cali they now check if the tune has been tampered with via a checksum number or similar.
In other words, no messing with the stock tune.
They plug into the OBDII port to see anything amiss, plus do a visual under the hood and under the car for presence of the catalytic converter in its stock location.
No long tubes allowed.
Any nonstock pieces must have a CARB exemption sticker.
All this is FYI...

I've always been intrigued by doing my own but yes the cost is a lot and its also intimidating. I'll look into this mr. Pat g because I'm not finding many tuners I'm comfortable with. I've been building out kits for the full heads/cam and want to start going on this now the summer is closing so work should be slowing down. Also about to get headers and install this ls6 intake I've been sitting on for a couple years at this point. The supposed 500 horse this car has has gotten to normal feeling.

I used EFI Live with my last car because I didn't have a laptop and had no interest in messing with it, Pat tuned it and I drove the car for four years before selling it.
My current car I have HP tuners for it from the previous owner.
HP Tuners isn't as bad as it sounds, once you get all the hardware, Pat will send you a PID list that you'll use when he tunes which you can continue to use or add additional PID's to.
After that you'll have a perfect running car and can use the software to data log or make small changes as you get more comfortable.
Look up Chopperdoc on Youtube, he's got tons of great videos on how to use HP Tuners.
There is a wealth of info out there my friend.

This last week, my son's 02 TA with a fresh LS (799 heads, 02+ LS6 cam) here in smog **** California using the stock tune. Set monitors, and passed legally.
I had the cam laying around from my gen3 4.8 I ran in my 67, so tossed it in with some good pushrods and fresh 799 heads while I was at it. Hard to beat for the price I paid! For $300, I wouldn't even consider it, and would go with an "emission friendly" grind that'll run on a stock tune.
