There are a couple of heavy hitters finishing up their builds that should go faster but they are all solid axle 4 link conversions so that really puts them into a different class in my opinion as it's no longer stock style suspension/chassis.

I'd like to go a bit faster on my C6 Z06 as well, we'll see what that brings at TX2K.

I want to start/finish my 87 IROC project with a 6.2 LT with 10 speed swap, finally have acquired all of the parts and hope to start on that in a few weeks.
Low 7's is crazy for an IRS rear, how fast did Berry end up going before going solid axle?
Do you think Morris will be out there competing in his Corvette this year?

I think Frank D's car has a 7.2x in it at TX2K assuming everything works out well. Berry, not sure who that is? Jim D had held the record for a while with a 7.43 previously.
Morris's car is very specifically setup for 1/2 mile events and I know he was thinking at some point taking it out for some 1/4 mile action, but he would have to make some drastic changes to the setup for that.

Keith Berry didn’t go that fast before switching to a solid axle setup. He was fast for his time, but that was 10+ years ago…

Mark Carlyle went 6s in his IRS C6

Yeah I think he had the overall IRS record of any car at some point in time, hell he may still have that. That car was bad *** for sure but it was every bit of a full on race car, just with IRS.

It's a 416 LT, low lash solid roller, twin Precision 76s, flex fuel E85. It's still an actual street car with full interior and we are slowly making progress on convincing him to start taking **** out and lightening the thing up. LOL!

Not sure where you're coming from, but you should try the roads around Jasper Arkansas. Beautiful area with plenty of twists that don't get much traffic. It's in the Ozark mountains and right by the Buffalo river also. Great vacation spot if you want to get away from crowds.

Still super curious to see how that 8-speed performs behind a big inch twin turbo setup.

I'm still waiting to see how the charge air piping is going to make it up to the twin throttle bodies lol.

He's ditching them for a standard Holley lid and putting the hood back on.
Been trying to talk him into leaving the hood off but its not working lol.
