Default Front Mount Intercooler install DONE! "FMIC"

All done,
Pics down for good, you want em, email me.

Oh yeah, Lets talk about power............maybe later, the damn battery is charging, we had to jump it, but it started right away Now its charging before I take it out. Poor car has been sitting for a week with us opening the hatch, doors, head light doors again and again for the rollbar install and for the FMIC install. Thanks to those that helped me out, Josh, Travis, and Frank(merlin) you guys rock.

Hope this helps the few that replied to my last post, and to the rest who were looky loo's

SWEET! But is there any air getting to the FMIC when its in street trim? You can't seriously expect to hold youself back from hitting boost in street trim are you? IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!! You will . Looks amazing!

Yeah I can, I almost went to jail for 90 days last time I did something that I thought wasn't that bad, so I drive like a old person now. Yeah it still can get air. I'll be doing some logging with and without the plate cover on to see how bad it really is though. If its out of hand, it will come off for good. I can say that the fans that I have mounted on the front of the radiator, pull air through the FMIC pretty good. Good enough to feel it with your bare hand, so it has air being pulled across it regardless.

Thanks for the compliment too, that makes work like this worth it.

Nice work.

One thing I would change. Get rid of the crappy worm clamps and get some T-bolt clamps. Last thing you want is those things popping off or leaking boost. Plus the T-bolt clamps just look soooo much nicer as well.

Can't wait to hear what kind of improvement it makes.

Good job!

Exceptional work there. I'm planning on installing a supercharger on my 2000 Camaro SS and really wanted to use a FMIC. I'm glad someone is laying the groundwork for me so I won't have to wonder whether or not it'll work. Let us know about what power increases you see as that's what it's all about really. Thanks.

Heath, Thanks and i'll use em if you buy em for me. I am tapped out hence the worm clamps, plus I've never had one fail...........yet

Smokinstorm, Thanks too, there is plenty of room in these cars once the nose is off. I was amazed to see how much it opened up with it off. No problem on posting pics. I try to help out as many of us FI dudes that I can. This wasn't too hard at all, everything I had pictured in my head worked out just fine on the car All I can say is print em out, because I will be taking this pics down soon.

Pewter Thanks!

GMC SKI, Thanks and I'm glad that you sent that flange with the HKS back when I bought it from you. I didn't think I would ever use that flange/pipe combo, but it went up with everything else. Looks like your truck is running pretty good

Cool.................. tahst different then i had mine planned out in my head for the piping to run...... i might copy yours though since we have the same IC. How long did it take the shipping from him to get to you?? Now its time to go save these pics before you take them down.
