Thumbs up STS Dyno Numbers *Complete*

dropped the car off at the speed shop for them to fix my boost gauge...have to take it back there next sat for them to run all new lines. Got my dyno sheets also. It dyno'ed 457.1 RWHP and 460.5 ft-lbs Air Fuel Ratio was 11.6 this was all at 5psi the stock setup and the tunning was done with a MAF translator...i think LS1 EDIT tune would have done better but o well next time lol. I am really happy with the results . I will try and post the dyno sheets when i can. The freaking thing FLIES its sweet. I just have to tighten some hoses tomorrow cause one of the oil lines came loose and its dripping slowly. So i will put it on the ramps when i get up and check/tighten everything...then go for a ride

Very cool!!!

I am hoping to get my truck back next week and put some better #s down. 13psi is alot so I think my turbo was a bit small or something. I get jelous seeing #s like yours knowing I am about 100HP shy of what LS1 5.7s do

thanks everyone took it out for a spin after i filled the tank up with 94. Fast doesnt even begin to describe it...i opened it up on 202 earlier today at a red light for about a couple seconds...i backed out and looked behind me and i was WAY infront of traffic already going 70 lol i love it STS rules . Also suprisingly i have been able to go over speed bumps without a problem havent scrapped it yet. Its about as low as my 3" y-pipe so thats good also.

at a red light huh? you may have been so far ahead because the rest of the traffic waited for the green light to start moving.

J/K great numbers, i cant wait till i can stop breaking things and go back to spending my money on going faster.

I just ordered my sts kit and I have a few questions about your install. I have the same headers and y pipe that you have and I am wondering how the kit fit with those on and if you had to modify the kit to install. Also, is your car lowered and if so how much clearance do you have under the k member and the turbo? Thanks for your help.

i was wondering the same thing. Also... do you have any pics of the rear of the car with it installed? Im not too fond of having my exhaust come out the center of the car like that. Can it be modified to come out of the stock locations? I guess its just more weight but i think it would bother me. Anyways... congrats on the awesome numbers. Im jealous

Ben

My car is not lowered and everything fits perfectly under there. The only thing i have to adjust is the y-pipe because when they where installing the kit i think they moved it around and its now its hitting on the bottom. But thats not a big deal i had to do that once before when i installed my headers. i just took it to midas hehe. As for clearance the lowest point of the kit probably hangs about 3 1/2 inches or more from the ground its about as low as my y-pipe. I havent scrapped it once yet and i have gone over some NASTY speed bumps...just go slow and sideways a little . But other then that its freaking awesome to drive...i love having a turbo and being able to drive like stock when i am just cruising around. You cant hear ANYTHING when your just cruising no turbo no nothing. Then when you get on it all hell breaks loose its bad ***. Already had one encounter with a turbo'ed civc or something to that effect around here. I was driving down the road and he flew up on me and did that little lurch move and i heard his BOV. and his buddies where all laughing so i did the same thing and he heard my turbo...then my BOV they all looked at me and i just looked over and started to shack my head saying "no no...not a good idea" he wasnt smilling for long and he backed off LOL his friends looked like they where in a trance lol. I so love this thing it dominates its so much fun . Its cool when i drive around on nice days and ppl ask me about my car now i say turbocharged 02 SS...i like that it has a nice ring to it hehehe. It gets alot of attention.
