Default Car is now at QMP.

Hopefully this is the final round now. Im getting the cam changed out and dynotuned and street tuned. So hope now it will run better. 7.00 at 100 mph is pretty pathetic for a blown 400 in stroker. It will be done in about 2 weeks. Justin

He is goin to dyno it before and after, He told me the cam is one of the major problems why its isnt running. My headers were coated it burnt the coating off up by the exhaust ports. It was lean on the exhaust side bad. It was working against itself. Maybe rob will chime in and explain what it was doin. The cam will be a custom grind lunati. I have no idea what it will be rob will pick it out. Hopefully the car finds the missing boost and picks up a shitload of power. All i know is im ready for it to make some serious power, and lays down some impressive passes. Justin

Good luck Justin... Who built that 404ci?

Did you check for belt siippage when it only went 100 mph in the 1/8th?

I use Torco 118 gas. I am thinking about puttin alky on it also. But for now run straight race gas. Joe Jolly of LPE built the motor. He dont work there anymore. The belt was never touched when i ran the 100 in the 1/8. It varied all night long 97 - 100

My 136 pass was a shakedown (105 1/8th) but based on my pulley combo I had to be getting some belt slippage. I'll hopefully get the car out in the next 7 days and will buy a shorter belt and see how the car does with no other substantial change.

You think 115-117 is possible in the 1/8 with no belt slip and the extra cubes? The power came on immediatly with the blower. I seen 14 lbs at 30' out it left on 9 lbs. Hope now it will make more on the brake since it will be setup correct this time.

Well 115-117 @ 1/8th is closing in on Harlan's 119mph 1/8th.

So I will say... Dunno.

You have all the parts to go that fast it's just a matter of whether they are all working right. What is your raceweight?

Hey do you remember that girl at Club Paradise, you said she was studying to be a cop? She had dark hair and a little tattoo?

Car weighs 3225. I still got lil more stuff to rip out. I sure hope like hell all the parts are working in conjunction now. Its seems like i bought a car that was suppost to be fast from the get go and had to end up dumping 5,000 plus the motor. The guy who helps me work on it wants me to back halve it and put 31x10.5W's. That way i can get it down to about 2600 without me in it.

Well you have the parts to go high 8's it's just a matter of making them all work together. Might take 5-6 runs to dial in the combo. With my car we were changing the tune between passes but also lost a belt on the 2nd run. I really did not have very good belt tension on the 10.3@136 since I was in a hurry (track rental was over) so I expect to pick up just from getting the tension right.

Yea BOS i've seen it run that at Bowling Green when the last N vs S race was. Ive been thinking hard about putting Robs Alky kit on my car also, It looks pretty nice way its set up. Has the tank molded like the battery and gos back where the battery is, looks like factory. My car has an 8'" conveter that go's 5100 on the brake. Would i benifit from a Neil Chance unit? Best 60' ive seen so far is a 1.49 on the back tires. Id like to be in the 1.3's. Im just down to the nitty gritty now on getting it all ironed out. Time will tell.

5100 stall sounds like you should keep it. Just make sure that you aren't seeing belt slippage during your pass. Sounds like if you made 15 off the line and 9 down the track you had huge slipppage or something else needs work.

C'mon, John. You know you're off topic. Plus the fact that you're really posting to a topic that should be a personal taboo for you. For once take some subjective advice, though it comes from someone that has publicly exposed your faults. It's really something you could ponder, if you're mature.
