Question STS for a Vette

Hi all
I have been looking this kit over and it makes a lot of sense for many reasons (no debates on heat please) over a conventional front mount, especially how cramped our underhood areas are. Has anyone been able to adapt this kit to a Vette. It would seem that there would be enough room where the stock mufflers reside? Thanks for the feedback.

You wont have the clearance underneath the car because of the flat floorpan setup. I was checkin mine out before I sold the C5 and I dont see how in the hell you could make it work without keeping the car stock height = 4X4

Yeah, the floor is flatter than one of my ex-girlfriends . I was thinking though about the possibility of running the exhaust as a single set up down the drivers side to the turbo, then routing the intake (turbo outlet) back to the motor on the pass side Any thoughts

I have an appt. to look at a C5 tomorrow. This guy is wanting one bad, but I want to take a look. I'm trying to be optimistic, but we'll see.

Things are VERY tight under a C5. The hot piping wouldn't be a problem, but you really wouldn't be able to get the cool side back up to the motor. Not to mention that even if you made the exhaust a single exhaust and then ran the cool side on the other side -- you would be heating up your cool side with your exhaust pipe.

My mechanic thought he might be able to do something custom in the tunnel area, but it looks real tight down there. Not to mention most of us have lowered our cars. I'm guessing it's not realistic.

I'm thinking that also, but I told him I would look.

It really didnt take long to see it would be very difficult. I was hoping for more room in the muffler area. There isnt. Nothing is impossible, but I dont think I want to cut up someones C5.

There are very, very, very, very (need I go on), few turbo systems for the Vette that are either affordable or made for the Do It Your Selfer. I like to turn my own wrench and like turbos, but for $8,000+++ grand I think I would be better off with a Procharger from A&A....and some headers....and gears......and a good tune I was just hoping that this would be a good, economical kit. I sometimes get tired of the Vette Tax

If there would have been room, it would have only been around $4500.00 give or take.
What turbo system for a C5 is around for that price?

I think that Xtreme has a TT setup for close to $8,500 or so, but that is for the kit and you are kinda on your own for the install, injectors, and tune. The single turbo setups on Vettes have been troublesome at best from what I can tell. Everything from leaks and such to melting the hood

I'm still going to get one on a lift to look a little more, I'm just not optimistic.
