Default Updade on the Car.

Well as i thought there was some type of problem with the car. They made it to the dyno last nite and dynoed it before they messed with it. Rob told me it made 458 at the wheels at 14-15 lbs at 10.5 AFR. That would be why it only ran 100 in the 1/8. Hope it will be done before too long, all they like now is cam install, alky install and tune if they can get the computers to connect to each other. So thats where i stand at right now. Justin

Should be making a lot more power at 15lbs, I made 462rwhp with 11psi on a D1SC with a 214/218 cam in a 370c.i. motor......

458 with an f1 at 15 psi on a 404ci? Even through an auto I would guess well over 600rwhp. Hope you get it worked out, should be killer

A friend of mine is running an LT1 with a similar setup and making about 700 at the wheels. I'm guessing you will make more, too.

We don't have enough information to figure out what's wrong.

I think you keep changing too much stuff and it's like a moving target.

Are you sure the engine was put together right before?

How big is your stall?

Yea the engine is put togther right he knew what he was doin. It goes to 5100 on the brake. We will see what it makes when the new cam gos into the car. And after its all tuned up. Im about tired of messing with it. Hope it gets lined out this go around.

We had it here at one time. We wired the e-dist and the crank decoder. Then it left to get tuned at Rob Raymer's shop.

Justin you might have to go thru everything to make the combo work.

My car probably had a total of 20 dyno pulls, maybe more, to get to the 746rwhp number.

That was over 4 different sesssions. I had to remove my TCS converter since it flashed to 6800 on the dyno. We had to wait until I got another converter in the car.

Assuming the car has a FMIC and you are dynoing on 110 or 116, you should be shooting for 700-800rwhp assuming the converter is only about a 5000 stall. My 746rwhp was actually with 110, and around 17 psi with a 4400 T400 stall.

It's a bit of a process so you have to be patient since stuff needs to be tweaked along the way.

Im run straight Torco 118. Yes it has a big griffen FMIC. Plus it is also gettin akly kit too. I think the converter would be fine. I may have to try some VHT on the belt. But Rob said is wasnt slipping. Cartek told me it make 17 lbs on before with the 346 and the twin intercooler setup. So who knows maybe this cam will be the culprit of all the problems we will see.

What are the cam specs?
Does it flatline on the dyno?
My car pulls to 6900 when we let off.
I"m pretty sure your car should pull until you let off.
I'm pretty sure I should be able to run 24 to maybe even 26 degrees of timing on C16.
