Default Dark Dragon Motorsports 1998 C5 1200RWHP

I have to appologize to people that have tried to PM me in the past. I hadn't been checking my PM's on this site.

A lot of people have asked about the AEM installation and I'll see what I can do to offer guidance. But let me tell you ahead of time, AEM will offer NO SUPPORT for this since it is a non-standard install.

With that being said, please contact me via email if you have ?s. I will try to put together a list of what I did to make it work

NOTE: The owner of the car has accepted the fact that the drive by wire system is now independant of the engine management and if there is a problem with the system, it will behave exactly the same as if the throttle return spring broke on a standard throttle body. IE If there is a problem with the system the car can get stuck in a WOT throttle situation that the computer would be oblivious too. I can come up with a solution if need be, but it wasn't requested at this point.

Also, I do not own the C5 nor do I actually work for Dark Dragon Motorsports, I was simply contracted to do the conversion for them. I'm actually a computer engineer by trade and I do a lot of work on aircraft management systems (hardware/software).

Weldon pump, custom feed/return lines, Aeromotive regulator (or similar, not sure of brand to be honest) and custom rails (that match the custom intake).

Currently the AEM will have to be piggy backed onto the factory PCM. The AEM will control spark, fueling, and idle air functions. The factory PCM will drive the dash, etc. Their full replacement box doesn't have an estimated completion date yet.

Probably 110 leaded, but they made over 1000 RWHP with only 13 pounds of boost into an 8.5:1 motor. That smells like it could run on pump gas to me, 1000 RWHP on 93 octane would be just sick

I'll hopefully have all the info gathered for this in the next few days, but it may take me a week or two to get it into a reasonable format. I'll probably do a first pass on it this weekend (time permitting) and have Nic take a look at it first since he's somewhat local to me.

I'm also trying to research using a new controller box, the 1050 (or was it the 1060). This is due to the fact that the 1010 we used on the Vette requires several internal mods to make it compatible whereas the new box should just need internal jumpers set. Plus I believe the new box is smaller and ok for mounting in the engine compartment (maybe on top of or beside the battery instead of having to wire it inside the car).
