ANyone see Ronnie Dukes new car?
he showed up at the transam nationals in a new ride.
a black T-top transam that looked similair to his convertable.
6.0 block, 6.0 heads, 408 CI, lunati internals, fast system, fast intake, intercooler set up like his last, ATI, not sure if it was an F1 or F2. coil packs, not distrubiter like his convertable. nitrous.
no track times yet, guess they just got it running, dynoed around 800rwhp (with out n20), looking to run nines in that one, while the converable there trying to get 7's

Very cool car, kinda like an economy version of the convertible. I think it was an F1R but I'm not sure. No pics either. Its kinda pathetic how in that show they focus more on cleanliness than engineering. I was happy to sneak out with a trophy this year (and that car was in my class).

good to see you placed.
i saw your car there, at the show and cruise in, but not you.
my TA was at the cruise in, got 'er done, it was the blue one with the duck tape for the intake bellows.
talked to one guy there and he said hardcore can build you one of those for $80k

I heard about that. A good friend of mine was there and described it but isnt around the scene enough to know who these guys are so didnt know it was Duke. Sounded like them the way he described it.
Im trying to find some pics from the nats, but so far nothing.

The vert had been converted to a distributor drive by W2W. You can get one from them. Or, GMPP might start carring one from a company called WAR. They were displaying them at PRI last year. Very trick distributor integrated into the water pump housing somehow.

I talked to him for awhile and asked him about the FAST intake and if he had problems with the intake? He said no we've had it to 13psi so far and it had a F1R blower head unit with a cog set up on it. Said they wanted this car to run 9.0's and the vert will be out soon, 400 hp more and 400 lbs lighter than when it ran 8.5's.

The pics of that car look good. Ronnie never drove the convertible at the track, that was my job. The car in the pics is a TA that he drove at Thunder last year with a D1SC with 8 rib drive. By the pics it looks to have a copy of the drive we did for the convertible on it with a F1RSC.
