turbo(s) or supercharger?
In a nutshell the supercharger is always on, can cause broken crank snouts (question the mechanic ability on that one) and can have problems with belt slip. Turbos on the other hand, are on demand, provide plenty of pleasure for the buck but are more complicated with plumbing and accessories. I say go for the turbo(s) and dont look back.
Both will give great power on a completely stock car and have awesome drivability.
I went the heads/cam/nitrous route on the T/A and it sucked for daily driving and running out of nitrous and worrying about bottle pressure and refills got on my nerves.
I had a Vortech supercharger on my 351 Mustang GT and it was awesome for being maintanence free but I didn't like the lack of low end out of it.
I just rode in my buddies STS powered Firehawk with an intercooler and only 4psi and I was amazed at how hard it pulled, and pulled, and pulled. I would have to say he is in that 420-450rwhp range even at that psi because my T/A NEVER pulled that hard on heads/cam and even with the nitrous it never felt that good.

So to sum up my opinion. Find a good used ATI procharger kit or get an STS kit with a couple extras like fuel upgrades and an intercooler and you'll love life.
