I have a fiend who has 700 rwhp on his 383 LT1 but he is using an F1, not a D1. In fact, I think he is selling the motor out of it - pm me if you want more info. He is running a FAST too. So the answer is NO! Your friend will probably not hit 700.

FWIW, we hit 700rwhp w/ a twin turbo LT1 (355) on the stock OBD I PCM and my injector driver box.

6 speed car, so that helps. Heathly cam and AFR 225 heads (i think they were 225's not sure off hand)

I think your reffering to ART?, his motor is very impressive and put down great numbers for what he has. I just wish could have ran the number at the track like he wanted to.

i personally think it isnt that hard if the heads, intake, and cam are set up right and you spin the D1SC as hard as you can. even on a stock OBD1 computer. esp if this is a stick car.

the stock computer shouldnt be a limiting factor...guy around here did 770rwhp with stock pcm on pump gas...but it was an LS1 with a 427.

but still, stock pcm is good for it...just need an impedance converter.

IMO get a Vortech T or YSi trim. T Trim is rated for 825 crank hp.

choose at least the D1 not D1SC, better step up ratio better low response. I think it is completly accessible, go with an aftermarket PCM though instead of trying to work around the stocker, you'll need it for low imp injectors anyways or converter box with stock computer.

After Market pcm isnt needed as they do make high imp 60lb and 72lb injectors. The high hp vette guys have been running them for a while now and they have report no idle problems what so ever. the only down fall to the big high imp injectors are the price. especially the 72's.
