FMIC Install Done
Finished up my Front Mount install last night with the help of my Friend Junior and his Dad Joe. Thanks Junior for bringing me my garage door opener to me at 330am..... Here are some pics of it.... ill post more after i resize them and host them.
I have to go and double check everything this afternoon and ill do some testing and see how much boost i am seeing..... i kept the 3.7" blower pulley on there to see what the changes would be by just changing the IC.
On a side note i felt my IC thru one of my foglight holes (I havent cut out the front plate hole yet.. today) on the passenger side and it was kinda warm...... i felt the IC thru the drivers side foglight hole and it was really cold to the touch and it was 84 degrees out at 330am..... more to come.

That's sweet man!!
One thing I noticed on my truck is that I only have a small slit that air passes through to hit the IC and even taking off my lower air dam I only saw a 2deg drop overall. So I woulnd't worry about keeping the whole thing uncovered, just try to get semi even coverage
With my airdam on

nice set up!
what did you do on the ends of the hard piping to keep the rubber couplers from blowing off?
i had the same setup but every time got on it the hoses would pop off, so i just welded a bead around the edge to simulate a seam like on those fancy IC pipes you get from companies.

Hey little bro, I'm impressed! Looks sweet, but your t-bolts don't have the same mounting angle on each side! J/K had to find something to pick on for ya.... Now come up here and help me out with my block!

i was using t-bolts just like the ones you have. the hoses would pop off as soon as i got into boost ( i'd say 3 to 5 psi).
another trick to use is to get some vise grips and make little bends , 3 or 4 , on the edge of the pipe. kinda like flaring it , but not all the way around the pipe so you could slide the hose over it. it sounds like back woods engineering but it works!

They feel tight as hell...... i had a hard time just trying to pull them off when i was test fitting them..... I will keep a eye on them ... thanks for the heads up.

a friend when he does intercooler setups like that, welds a small bead around the end to hold the rubber on.
To do it properely, you would use a bead roller, but i have never seen one for sale cheap enough for a small project like this.

DAMN IMPRESSIVE KYLE Looks awesome. I told you that it would be cake. Now go get some results. Sorry I wasn't here for your call, i'm working 7 days a week (today was day 20 without a dayoff) I can't find anyone to fill this position so me and my other helper are really slaving lol......moneys great tho
Get some pics of the routing from the s/c to the FMIC. I take it you went to the pass side from the s/c and out to the top from the driverside?
Now lets get her to the track and get some testing done. 11's are getting old.

here are some more pics of my Install. I have alot more to resize and host but i dont have the time right now..... I have a few with the front plate hole cutout and i think it looks good. Ill post those later..... Did some blasts on the freeway last night around 230am and it was between 76-78 degree's and i saw 6 psi just like i did before. After the quick freeway blast and cruising around at 30mph for a bit i went home and felt the IC inlet on the blower side and it was kinda warm...... then went and felt the outlet side and was cold to the touch, so i say its doing its job. Im going to log some IAT while cruising today (buddy had my ATAP).... more info later...... Time for more pics.
