Default Sts dyno numbers

Ok guys, I just got a call from my dyno guy and my car is finished. He fixed the timing problem I was having but now my 255 fuel pump has ran out of steam. Here is what my car did at 5.5 pounds of boost. The dyno pull started at 2400 rpms and it hit 400 rwtq at only 2700 rpms, it hit 467 rwtq at 3600 rpms and stayed there until 5250 when it started dropping off. He managed to get 498 rwhp at 6000 rpms and he said he could probably do better through the whole range if I put an inline fuel pump on. Another thing that I love about this kit is that whith the upgraded turbo (t67 instead of t60) my IAT's were only 125 degrees with no meth injection or intercooler. I am going to pick the car up tomorrow and if i can figure out how to post the dyno graph I will post it right away. I can't wait.

Excellent, looks like when you get the fueling fixed you'll be flying.Just think if you put a boost friendly cam in there.

The Holley fuel pump, is that internal or an external. I thought a 255 should be able to go to ~700hp. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Good luck and don't leave too much rubber on the road.

What does this kit cost? Where can it be purchased? Also, do you plan on running at the drag strip anytime soon, or will you wait to get a new fuel pump. What kind of tires will you use for the track? What do you use on the street? Thanks

Very nice numbrs btw

Base price for the kit is usually about $3700. Technically that's enough to get you into that 410-450rwhp range if you pay someone to tune it properly. If you wanna start adding the goodies to really crank out some power you'll spend $5k in no time

Visit the STS site for your nearest local dealer. Thier link can be found in my sig.

Damn, seems like a well put together kit. Hows the car's streetability with this turbo kit on? At what rpm is full boost? Little lag? Thanks.

Full boost is usually around 3k rom on most kits and as low as 2500 on the smaller turbos. Streetability is just like stock. Almost no lag on the small turbos, very noticable if you go really big like I did.

With my new 370 setup I can reach full boost in 5th gear at 2500rpm with my T67 81 housing.

New Motor still breaking it in. It is a 370 9to1 220/224 581 581 115lsa. I have the dual stage setup. I am running a 5lb spring right now seing 5-6 psi. I have not got to play with second stage yet. I need to get a couple hundred more miles before I can tune at WOT. Once I get it tuned my goal is 600 - 650 at 12-14 psi with 75/25 meth and water injection. I hope to get full tuning done in a few weeks.

The intank walbro 255 is good for about 500 rwhp with a base pressure of around 58 psi and 1:1 rising rate regulator with stock rails, lines and the regulator in the back of car. Of course this depends on good voltage and your AFR. With rails, lines, and regulator up front add you an add a lot more power before it runs out of steam.

Well I was hoping to post some track times soon but now its going to be a while. I didn't even make it home from the dyno before the motor took its toll on my car. I did one role on pull to about 100 and that was the end of my stock rear end. I am guessing that the hard one two shift was the culpret. I was hoping that street tires would save my rear for a little while but I guess not. For what its worth the car runs like a bat out of hell. As for turbo lag, my car was seeing 1 pound of boost at 2500 and 5.5 pound of boost at 3500.
