for what its worth, my spec3 iron lasted 2 months at the 630hp 550tq level of the d1 at 10 psi. Your turbo setup is way more stressful on the clutch im sure. I had to goto a spec stage 5 with my gt70 setup.

If the 3i won't cut it i'll probly go to a TH400 setup since the stg5 just won't be resonable since i drive the car in stop and go traffic everyday. Even Spec said the stg5 would only last a couple months with that type of driving. Spec swears up and down that the 3i will work well with my setup but i'm still kinda leary wether it will.

spec doesnt make the 3i anymore, they now have a 3f series which looks like my stage 5 but has cuts in the discs for slipping and what not. Installed one in a buddys car last week and its quiet, doesnt squeek and feels really good. Its rated for 950hp. So after my spec5 is dead I will go back to the 3f and see if it works out.

Hey, where did you get the vband clamp and flange for the MP GT45 exhaust housing?

Call Pro Turbo Kits.

I sent them my GT45 housing to have a flange and clamp made. They should be able to hook you up.

Nobody makes the v-band or flanges, so i just welded a 3-bolt header flange onto the turbine outlet. Worked great.

I definitly like the overall simplicity of this kit. But I was wondering about efficiency of having the pipe off of the passenger side snaking around like that. Not bashing, just asking. Any dyno numbers yet? E.T's? I may look into doing something like this in the near future.

Well, still no freaking dyno #s... After building the new kit and getting it tuned, i burned up 2 spec 3s... Now i'm running a mcleod twin disk and the second night out it took out a rod bearing..... I have no freaking luck i swear!!! But the engine is out and all prep'd Got a set of H-beam rods, new rings, main studs and all new bearing ready to go back in, i plan on starting the reassembly tonight... Hope to have it on the road in a week.... After this should have all the weak points fixed...
